Discuss proposed Motion of adding City of Mesa Rule and Regulation to Venture Out governing document.
Regarding the Architectural Committee action on trying to develop a motion to change our VO Rules and Regulations based on the city of Mesa Rule Change on Licensed Contractors. Our governing documents will not want to get into the
policy of publishing the city of Mesa Rules in our governing documents. Once these Rules are on our books VO becomes the governor and the enforcer. We may choose to announce the Rule change but provide no details. EXAMPLE: The city of Mesa, AZ on all building permits exceeding $1000 Dollars will require a Licensed contractor.
Need your input on:
- When a homeowner may use a local handyman versus a licensed Form
- Develop a form to document VO license contractors and non-license
Do you have any additional recommendations?
- The form should include: Contractor name or company, contact info, license number date issued, area of expertise covered (carpentry, electrical, plumber, masonry, painting and framing). From this form an owner should be able to determine the potential role a contractor may have in the park.
- Develop public presentation for VO owners so they can provide direction to assist in decision-making for actions to take for their personal Program to be presented in the fall.
